Can I do the maintenance on my property myself?
If you have the time, equipment and knowledge that is required you should be able to handle some of the maintenance, but to make sure your landscape flourishes, you may wish to hire a professional landscape maintenance company to set up a complete property management program.
Why was my lawn mowed today in the rain?
While we do not like mowing in the rain, it is sometimes necessary when we have two or more rain days in a week. We do not want the grass to grow longer than it already is, possibly matting down and creating other turf disorders.
My lawn was sprayed with weed control and fertilizer and then it rained.
Does it need to be re-sprayed?
No. The weed control only needs a couple hours of contact to be effective and the fertilizer needs to be watered in to start working.
Can I have my trees pruned or thinned out during the summer?
Yes. All trees can be pruned or thinned out during the growing season except Oak trees, which should only be done in the winter.
Some of the shrubs got pruned today and others didn’t?
Due to the time of the year that flowering shrubs bloom, some varieties are pruned in the spring and some in the fall.
